FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HTC Trailers and HTC Trailer Parts are only sold through our dealer network.

 2.  What is the HTC Trailer warranty and is it transferable?

Refer to our WARRANTY STATEMENT for all questions regarding warranty.

 3.  How do i grease the hubs and how often should i grease them?

Prep: Jack up the trailer so the wheel is off the ground and spins freely. Remove the dust cap or hub cover to access the zerk fitting.

Pump Grease: Attach a manual grease gun to the zerk (grease cap center). Slowly pump high-quality wheel bearing grease (Lithium Complex NLGI Consistency #2 Grease) until the old grease has been replaced by the new grease.

Finish: Wipe excess, replace cap, and test-spin the wheel for smooth rotation (while still jacked up). Then lower the trailer.

Always check hub temperature after trips; hot hubs signal urgent repacking.

 4.  What is the lug nut torque requirement?

Refer to the Tredit Wheel Torque Specifications for important information regarding axles, wheels and tires. You can also find Torque sequence and maintenance intervals in your Bumper Pull Manual.

Wheel lugs can shift and settle quickly after being first assembled, and must be checked after the first 10, 25, and 50 miles of driving.

Monthly: Routine inspection to catch any settling or vibration-induced loosening.

Before every long trip: Essential for safety, especially if hauling heavy loads.

Additional Tip: Check more frequently (e.g., every 100 miles) for aluminum wheels or rough terrain use.

 5. What care should be given to my tires and wheels?

Refer to the Tredit Tire & Wheel Maintenance Guide for questions regarding tires & wheels.
